Life’s a classroom
Every human being or individual is a subject lesson, and without them, you and I would not be who we are today whether in a positive or negative sense. Life indeed is a classroom. As clay, we are
fashioned and shaped by the daily events and life’s episodes that happen in our lives. Some are bitter and some are sweet. No one
is exempted from this subject lesson or from this classroom.
You either sit and do nothing about it or sail through it.
The people around us shape and fashion our thoughts and dreams. People and not the surroundings influence the way you think,
your attitude towards it, and the way you behave. You may grow up in an environment that is not conducive at all, surrounded by drug addicts and gangsters. What are the odds that you will grow up to be a doctor, an engineer, or even (spiritually) as a Pastor of a church?
You must have heard or read somewhere of that kind of people who grew in a very hostile and notorious kind of environment and yet today against all odds they have become doctors, engineers or even Pastor of a church.
“It’s not what happens that determines the quality or quantity of your life, and the reason is that what happens — happens to about everyone. The sun went down on all of us last night — a common event — and it is true that the same thing can happen to two different people, but one gets rich, and the other stays poor. Why is that? It’s not because of what happens to you but rather what you do about it.” You either react negatively against it or you respond positively towards it. No middle path.
I love watching people, I mean real human beings and I don’t mean movies okay. I will choose a comfortable seat that has both armrest and also where I can recline a little bit and rest my head. You will be able to observe a lot of different personalities and it is fun. You would be able to tell if a couple is angry with each other, or they are (still) in love, people who are lost emotionally, some are smiling from ear to ear even they are alone by themselves, business dealing taking place between an aggressive salesperson and an inquisitive potential customer and lots more.
I have a friend who is adamant to this belief that people do not change. Who they were yesterday, they are still the ‘old’ today, and they will be the same ‘old of yesteryears’ throughout their lives on this planet earth. It pretty makes some sense when I look back at my family members, friends whom I know for a long time, and even your colleagues.
What about those ‘motivational talks’, ‘NLP’ and counseling
sessions. You would think that they exist for the sole purpose to help those who are ‘misaligned’ as I always put it to get back on track.
Yes and No.
You will definitely have a friend or family member whom you identify and label him or her as a very lazy and non-purposeful person.
Do you know of anyone like this? These ‘misaligned’ people have been having these traits and thoughts ingrained in him or her since childhood. Remember that no one is born with this ‘misaligned’ behavior. It is being slowly programmed in you from childhood.
The people around you are the major contributors, and how you react or respond makes the difference in your lives now and in the future. Success is made not born.
Initially, when we were young, they don’t look harmful but as we continue with this ‘misaligned’ behavioral pattern, it will definitely and with absolute certainty will become second nature to us and the worrisome part is that it will be part of our subconscious mind. When it has become subconscious, we do not even need to put in any effort to carry out any activity, no need to shout out positive affirmations aloud in front of the mirror to psyche ourselves like a mad person or to carry out the much talked about ‘autosuggestions’ activity.
Once it has already been programmed in our (unseen) systems and has been internalized,
we need to take a different approach to counter it. And this has to do with people. It is people, both of their reactions and responses that will either makes you or breaks you emotionally and relationally. The good news is that you are the authority whether to allow the negative vibes and energy to continue to affect you and further bring you down to the misaligned path or to take a stand and tell yourself “ENOUGH is ENOUGH”.
You want and you deserve a better and successful life than what you are chained to now – being poor in all the areas or some part of your lives; poor spiritually, poor emotionally, poor in health, poor relationally, and poor at wealth.
The important is to identify where you are now, and where you want to go from here. You need to know your personality which I have shared in the third chapter. And you also need to do your S.W.O.T. which is also published in chapter 5. I will touch on the mechanics in the coming Friday.
At VrooomBiz, I will conduct a comprehensive behavioral social matrix with my business partners, in order to know each and every individual behavioral style so that we can guide and motivate each and everyone to achieve their dream goals faster and accurately.
This is part of the VrooomBiz systems.
With this, join me next week as we will talk on ‘life’s a classroom” part #2, week #16. I hope you like what you read and benefitted much from it.
