Chapter 10, Week 20 - SIGHT, FOCUS & VISION (continues)

sight, focus and vision (continues)

Do you find yourselves having difficulties to sustain that passion thing when you envy your colleague seated next to you who has not fared as well as you in terms of academic qualifications and results can? Does he or she have that Aladdin’s magical wand or what?

As you read from the previous preceding chapter that one ought to first create that relationship with your Life Goals and Life Dreams. You need that little spark to trigger that ‘love like’ attraction. To ensure that the fire doesn’t dim away and eventually died out, we need to continuously add fuel or in simple language, to nurture it. So first we create then you nurture and lastly to expect it to grow which it will. It shall and definitely would. No ifs and no buts.

Just the same as you set eyes on the girl or boy of your dream. Never lose sight or the person. Day and night focus your energy and inner power onto one particular person. Imagine and visualize how both of you are going to spend eternity together. Suddenly you can feel the universe is going to pull together all that vibes and energy to bring both of you together even in the midst of challenges and trials. Expect the trials and overcome the challenges in your mind before it even exists.

"Good things are seldom easy and easy things are seldom good" by David Leong.

With this mind, you will be mentally and emotionally prepared to expect the challenges and you will triumph over them. Trust me, apart from time, you will definitely achieve what you have conceived in your powerful minds. Powerful minds bring about a positive mindset. In the Journal of Biomechanics, researchers report that the neck joint of a common American field ant can withstand pressures up to 5,000 times the ant’s weight.

The human being with its vast resources and intelligence should be able to do the same but not literally from the point of weight but the pressures that we are supposed to be able to handle and manage. The other four things we can learn from ants are:

1) Diligence and hardworking. Laziness does nothing but encourages us to procrastinate and remain in the state of lack or mediocrity. An ant’s effort and hard work sustain them thus keep the passion burning without dimming away.

2) Positive attitude. Ants are very self-motivated and do need to be supervised. Each of them amongst the hundreds or thousands knew exactly each of its role and function, do you? Size, lack of anything, and your location are not limiting factors that will stand in between your Life Goals and you. Unless you allow it to behave so. No assigned supervisor has to whip the ants to move, to do their work, or even to work together. Ants are naturally disciplined and natural self-starters.

3) Excellent strategic planning with precision and organisation skill sets. The stories of ants teach us the necessity to plan and look ahead. They store their food during seasons of plenty so that they will have adequate amounts in times of scarcity.

4) Teamwork and unity. (the last point). Even ants know that they can accomplish more by cooperating together than to do it solo or as a Lone Ranger.

Creating a relationship to nurturing it to expecting the positive outcome or results are very crucial. The belief systems in you must get all wired from the subconscious to the conscious mind. Do not worry about how much time you need to take. What you need to take note of is to watch and record the progress. Collect all necessary data and punch them onto the Microsoft charts. By looking at the charts which are pictorial, you will be able to perceive and see clearly your progress of your journey to achieving your Life Dreams.

Please be reminded that the destination is not as important as the journey. The journey is fun when you chart your progress. From the data, you can see the relevant ratios. What you need to tweak, which to revamp, what to real align, or which one you can do more of it when you see the positive ratio it represents.

When you are able to come to this level, where 95% of aspirants (initially) fail, your success is round the corner. Do not be so foolish to give up or to throw in the towel. You will certainly regret it if you do. I just had a chat with an ex Commando who is now a Grab driver. As young teens, we always see the glamour and glory of those heroes who fought in wars and who brave the battlefield to come out alive. You will not be automatically enlisted when you first apply. The Commando head on the first day of the briefing will announce to you the risk of getting shot dead when you go to war. Your family, wives, and children are placed 5th in the priority list. 5 out of 5. First is the country.

Then he will continue “If you are doubtful and scared, please leave now and go home”

Out of two hundred aspirants to be Commando ( equivalent to the Marines in the USA) only a handful of twelve will pass and receive their berets after those gruesome and torturing months of hell as most will call it.

Build that strong relationship with your Life Goals and never allow her to depart from your hearts and minds. You will continue to achieve bigger and greater things in life after the first Life Goal is achieved. Learn to spend time alone by yourself to see your Life Dream, focus intently on your Life Goal, and to live out your Life Dream. Do note that I use the two terms interchangeably, both mean the same.

You do not need to mingle with people of the same industry as they are many great people out there who do not need to be rich and wealthy to earn your respect. Give respect and learn from everyone from Grab drivers to multi-millionaires. People are successful in their own rights not necessary in Ringgit and sen.

Learn how you can learn to build rapport with teenagers from successful parents with excellent parenting skills. Or how those cab drivers knowing the fact they do not earn (my assumptions) as much as you, yet are so motivated and take pride in what they do.

We have heard of testimonies on how an ordinary air steward becomes a pilot even though he started as an air steward. If he would have kept his Life Dream under his pillow, then it will remain there as long as he does not nurture it and expect it to bear fruit. He has created it but did not have the sight, focus, and vision to pursue it.

Success grows on a tree if you nurture it. But it certainly does not drop from the sky. There is no such thing as being ‘lucky’.

A person will only get lucky if there are enough activities where ratios and probability are involved.

"Take my word ‘Luck’ is a number game" By David Leong.

So don’t just sit on your potato couch and expect to be a millionaire. Do something, do it by keeping an eye on it, while focusing your energy on it and be bold to EXPECT TO RECEIVE THE POSITIVE RESULTS.

"You will never succeed if you just work and work and not courageous enough to EXPECT your SUCCESS" By David Leong.
